"思源阁"交大文库于2016年4月5日落成开放。通过收藏和展示交大人的学术成果，彰显历史上和当今交大人"求真务实，努力拼搏，敢为人先、与日俱进"的精神品格，宣扬交大"教书育人，立德树人"的典范楷模，发挥图书馆在文化育人上的价值引领作用。"思源阁"以"崇先仰贤，思源致远"为主题，设计"兴学强邦"、"名师硕儒"、"钟灵毓秀"、"学术翘楚"四个板块，展出历代掌校巨擘、名师院士、杰出校友、优秀科研团队的代表性学术成果，浓缩呈现交大"学人、学术和学风"的整体风貌，营造"学在交大"的文化氛围，激励交大学人奋发有为、追求卓越。重要藏品包括《愚斋存稿初刊》、《南洋公学新国文》、严复译亚当•斯密《原富》等。

"思源阁"设计风格古朴雅致，融古典与现代于一体，巧妙融入交大徐汇校区的金水桥、牌坊校门等标志性建筑，具有鲜明的交大特色。

Si Yuan Ge, the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Collections, was opened on April 5, 2016. It holds academic publications by SJTU members, depicts the university's academic trajectory, spreads the university's academic spirits of "truth-seeking, striving for excellence, pioneering and advancing with the times", shows good examples of "cultivating talents and fostering virtue through education", and develops the library's leading role in cultural education. With the theme of "Respecting Predecessors, Inspiring Successors", Si Yuan Ge collects and displays the representative academic achievements of important SJTU presidents, famous teachers, Academicians, outstanding alumni and excellent research teams. The major collections include "the Original Manuscript of Sheng Xuanhuai's Papers", "the New Chinese Papers of Nanyang Gongxue", and "the Wealth of Nations" translated by Yan Fu.

The design of Si Yuan Ge is simple and elegant, embedding elements of the landmarks from Xuhui Campus, which reflects the distinctive features of Jiao Tong University.
