Generally, invitees are not alumni; they mainly include guests who will deliver the meeting opening remarks, a few invited speakers on special related topics, and participants in the meeting-end forums.

Overall, of the 34 SGY alumni almost half (13) are from the initial SGY class or representatives of the initial SGY class who entered USTC in 1978, apparently because this class is the only alumni group to self-organize and recruit attendees.
